1.I think part of a Best Friend's Job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap as a kid!

4. There is great need for a Sarcasm font.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. Mapquest really needs to start their directions on # 7, I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my own neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least Kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories...

11. You never know when it will strike but there comes a moment at work when you realize that you're not going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after blue ray, I don't want to have to restart my collection....again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when i exit out of word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my 10 page research paper that I swear I didn't make any changes to.

14. Do not machine wash or tumble dry....means I will not wash this....ever....

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (hello, hello Damn it!) but when I immediately call back it rings 9 times then goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

16. I hate leaving the house confident and looking good, and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone, just so I know not to answer when they call.

18. my 4 year old son asked me in the car the other day, "Dad, what would happen if you ran over a ninja" How the hell do I respond to that?

19. I think the freezer deserves a light as well...

20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers, I would bet that on any given Friday, or Saturday night, more kisses begin with Bud Lights than Kay.

Saturday we had our second annual Hall0ween party.
We all had a blast. Thanks everyone for coming out.

Tom was Best Overall costume won $120 for his Captain Spalding Costume ( Which I did his makeup)
Nick Won Scariest with his AWESOME Grim Reaper, his mask was the Shiznizzle in the strobes

My Sis Jess showed up for about 2 hours and walked away with most original for her 15 minute adaptation of a drunk driving victim

And I had a hard time finding a pic of Lisa alone, so Lisa, as Baby from Devils rejects won for sexiest costume. This is me and her LATER in the night.

4 little kids.
That's what I have now.
When I was 21 years old I had my first baby.
I was the oldest of, well depends on how you look at it, but how i look at it I was the oldest of 8.
(now I'm the oldest of 13, but that's an entirely different story)
Anyhoo, back on track.
I didn't want kids in the first place, let alone any more.
I actually asked the Dr. to tie my tubes after I delivered Kielee,
yeah that wasn't happening. "you have to be 25 or have 3 kids for us to even consider" they told me.
So, within the last 4 years, I have gained 3 more children, and I believe I have really become a mother. I may have given birth to a child at 21, but I was still a child myself in so many ways.
Over the last 4 years, I have realized that a mother, is so much more than just a mother.
My mom, Is and always was, more than just a mom.
Cook, maid, teacher, chauffeur, nurse
A mother is the glue that holds a family together
A mother holds the responsibility of always being watched by her children, as an example for what they are to become.
She's always the one you call when your hurt weather your 3 or 30 she always will be
A mother is a student, as much as she is a teacher.
She's the disciplinarian, with a heart so soft, you find her apologizing even when you deserved it.
She threatens, empty threats, just to get 1 freaking minute (or 30 seconds) of peace and quiet.
As I've gotten older
My mother has become my friend. There are so many things, that while I was growing up, I didn't realize would hold such impact and such importance that I learned, inadvertently from my mom.
Now as my friend I realize my mom is not defined by being just a mom. She is a great friend. She's funny, and quirky, and beautiful. She's smart and shy and she has hopes and dreams and goals.
Now that I am a mom, I know that while I may not know what I'm doing, and I may make mistakes, my values, and the strength of family, the closeness that me and my siblings share, my strength, is all life lessons that I learned with the help of my mom, weather she meant to teach it or not.
As I look around at my sisters, (who are the only ones besides me that are mom's)
I see that we all love our children so much.
We all get frazzled, and stressed out, and overwhelmed
just like our mom did
but we are all good mothers.
And that didn't come from nowhere.

Thanks Mom, however you did it :)

Well Sunday we went and got pictures done.
I still have some editing to do but the ones I got back edited turned out so cute.
It was a chore to try and get Reese to behave, she's so much better
left to do her own thing and just snapping pictures of her
unlike Kielee, who poses as soon as she sees the camera,
Reese turns into a monster if you ask her to sit still.
We went to Wheeler Farm, and i just have to tell
anyone who is trying to think of a place to take pictures,
this place is great, there are SO MANY backdrops and fun places
we could have spent a lot more time if it weren't for the pesky sun,
I think we'll be hitting it up in the evening sometime soon again.
Kimberly was a pleasure to work with, she did a really good job being patient with
the HUGE family and so many kids. Thanks so much Kim!

The scene: during a fight scene with J & K after the bad lady releases all the prisoners from MIB headquarters they were fighting all these aliens.
J kicks one of them for lack of a better phrase "in the nuts"
and a sound rings out like metal being kicked, and K says
"J, he's a ball-chinian, kick him in the chin!"
J pulls down the alien's mask he's wearing around his face to reveal...

And Austin pipes up
"If that guy was me my chin would be like down to here huh!"
and holds his hand about 1 1/2 feet below his own chin...

I couldn't contain myself, I had no idea the kid was so, I don't know well endowed???
But he had no idea why I was laughing so hard I was crying, so I still am not sure where that came from. But it was GREAT!

Kielee:
Kieiee hurts herself at her summer kids camp almost daily. They give me these accident reports when I go to pick her up. The other day I went to pick her up and they geve me 2 accident reports. One said she was walking along and she rolled her ankle, so she had to ice it, and one saying she ran into the bathroom door with her face, and had to ice her nose. As we were leaving I said "Kielee, what is it aboutyou getting hurt all the time. You really need to pay attention to what's going on around you. Silly girl" and her response
"Duh mom, it's not my fault, I get it from you. You're a Clutz-o too!"
hmmm, ok I stand corrected. The inability to function on your own 2 feet must be genitically inherited.

Reese:
Reese likes to follow everyone into the bathroom right now. And we don't usually lock doors around my house...so when Hubby was taking a wizz the other day, Reese snuck in. Obviously he can't stop mid stream, so he turned his back to her and told her to leave...this was their conversation.
Hubby: Reese, daddy's going potty, you need to go out
Reese: You go pee daddy
Hubby: Yeah Reese, you need to go out of the bathroom
Reese: You sit down daddy?
Hubby: No Reese boys stand up, girls sit down. please go out.
Reese: (while stalking her way closer to him so she can see in the toilet, I know gross...)
Daddy!!! You Make Bubble PEE!!!! I want to do Bubble PEE!!!
Hubby: (laughing) Reese! You can't come in when boys are going potty! Try going pee in the potty, that's how you make bubble pee!

Lex:

Lex: Jaime, when is my mom comng to get us
Me: later today, about 7
Lex: today? Is that the next day?
Me: No Lex Today, just not right now
Lex: Is that THIS day?
Me: yes, today is THIS day.

Welcome to my first edition of "The Kids Said What!"
since this is first addition, and I've only got one good one from this past week
and I've been looking forward to playing this game cause it seems I always get
tons and tons of great words of wisdom form my 4 little ones...until now. (Go over to visit Cammie, it seems that this is actually a trend for week 1....I swear kids just KNOW this stuff!)
I'm going to do what Cammie did, and do a little recap of recent funny things they've said to start things off...
Without further ado

We're going into a restraunt and Reese is throwing one of her daily tantrums because she wants to bring her cup, blanket and toy into the restaurant. I being the wonderful parent that I am decide to reason with her (bribe her) and tell her that she needs to leave them in the car because when she goes in she can have a root beer and she won't be able to hold it with all that stuff...SUCCESS! Yay!! Then we go into the restaurant, waitress comes over and asks if she can get us a drink, and Sweet looking little Reese pipes up with
" I NEED A BEER"
Blush! OMG! She means root beer I assure the waitress.
Somehow since then though, everything she drinks that is not in a sippy cup, has become her BEER. Couldn't I have just offered her a chocolate milk!

Before buying cheese balls was in my weekly shopping list ( I know bad bad bad) We had them leftover from a BBQ. Got home from work with Reese and this was the conversation
Reese: "mom, I want Ball cheese"
me:"!!WHAT did you just say!!"
Reese: "ball cheese, I want ball cheese"
Me: standing there wide mouthed pondering what she could possibly mean buy ball cheese Blech!......Oh Lightbulb on! DUH "Cheese Ball Reese? You want Cheese balls?
Reese: "Yeah mom! Ball Cheese!"

Kielee, After too much TV apperently!
"Mom, You really need a magic lash! It makes your eyelashes SOOOOO Long and curly and yours are SHORT!"

While I'm Mopping the floor (on my hands and knees, I hate mops)
Kielee: "mom is that mopping"
Me: "yes Kielee"
Kielee: "no it's not mopping is with a mop!"
me: "Kielee if you already know these things...why do you ask me?"

Well there's what I have for now. Hopefully my kids cooperate more and give me more to go with next week!

My Littlest Kid list

1) She looks like she could play football, but then surprises you with how absolutely girly she really is.
2) I can bathe her 3 times a day, But she always finds the filthiest thing to play with
3) She can be SOOOO mean, but she's soooo sweet and has the best manners out of all of the kids.
4) She will only wear 1 of 2 outfits, her Dresses, or her "dancers" which are dress up dresses. And always her Bright green "slip slops" she HAD to have at Walmart. (P.s. She Sleeps in those slip slops.)
5) She has a routine, and you must comply, or she will let you know. Come home from babysitter, Fill her cup with "Chocolate Ma Milk" Get her Entire "bed" (which is all her blankets and pillows) lay them on the floor in front of the big screen, turn on Boomerang channel (hopefully scooby doo is on, or we have to find the Scooby DVD) give her a bowl of cheese balls. IF I comply with all her demands, she is an angel while I cook dinner.
6) Every Barbie is Princess Analise, and she too is princess Analise.
7) She can dance in circles longer than I ever thought humanly possible, while singing "We are princess we we are princess"
8) Her favorite color is undeniably purple.
9) She has the most beautiful hair I have ever seen on a 2 year old. Espicially a blondie. (I need to post a picture of this) It is longer than anyone in the family, and I don't think I will EVER cut it if I can help it.
10) She loves her daddy and cannot go to bed until he kisses her goodnight.
11) She loves motercycles and cars, snails, worms and dirt, as well as princesses, doing her babies' hair, and DANCING and singing her way though life.
12) Her favorite movie is Marley and Me, and she thinks that Jennifer Aniston is her mommy (I know sweet huh! I wish lol) so when she asks me to put it on for her she says, I want to watch Marley and You.
13) She is cuddley, but wiggly, and full of hugs and "tisses" for everyone.

This Littlest kid is a light in everyone's life she touches. She can bring a smile to anyone's face. She is beautiful, smart and inspires me to be the best mom I can be. I love her so much from the top of that beautiful head of hair, the the bottom of each little perfectly painted toe. She truely is a princess.

This is my Kielee. The one on the far right, in the light pink shirt.
She had this little "dance festival" at school the other day
She of course went to the very far end where I could barely see her,
but Jessica ran over and took this video.
After watching this, there can be no doubt, she has officially entered the awkward stage.
She is 7, tall and lanky, but chunky at the same time,
uncoordinated, with feet that are too big,
and hair in her eyes because mom is no longer allowed to touch
that big old mop of hers,
and she was absolutely THRILLED beyond belief to be performing
The chicken dance.
I love her so much! She is one of a kind to say the least!

"LIFE" Anthem is kind of difficult for me, seeing as I love so much music and I probably have a different song for every point in my life. So I give you my FAVORITE song of the moment. Why? Because I just love the lyrics. I think they're clever, hilarious, and catchy as hell, and I've been walking around singin this song for months and it just doesn't get old. It's fun!

Step 1...the Letter

A couple weeks ago we received an anonymous letter in the mail. With a stamp and everything and no return address. We opened the letter to find something resembling the following...

Dear Resident,

Every time I pass your home I want to cry. If Former owner had ever seen what happened to his Garden of Eden he would roll over in his grave. People would come from all over the area to admire his pristine and wonderful yard. Certainly you could do more with it than you have in order to maintain the yard's image, as well as your own.

First of all here is my response to that.
1) We are not 80 years old and retired. We are full time working parents of 4.
2) We are well aware that we cannot keep up on this yard the way it was currently designed. I Am well aware that properly kept this yard is absolutely beautiful, however, It is not possible for us to properly keep it up.
3) And Foremost, if you had the decency of a GOOD neighbor to actually KNOCK on my door and get to know us, you would first of all KNOW all of this, and know that we plan to remedy the situation THIS YEAR, and number 2 you would KNOW how many other problems we have had in this old house recently that would be a perfect reason for us to not embed on ANOTHER project as of yet...

BUT since Concerned neighbor must be appeased, and since said letter made me feel really really shitty about my yard's image, and since hubby thinks any long weekend is the perfect excuse to start a New project...

Here is what we did this weekend!The Garden of Eden has now been replaced with a gigantic freaking dirt hole! I do not know if we will be able to even get around to getting grass planted this year, because it will soon be so hot that it will be hard to start new grass, but I'm sure we will try. We are still not sure as to the identity of Concerned Neighbor, but I am sure that it was one of the 25 people who on their way to and from church on Sunday came to a screeching halt in front of my now yardless yard with mouths gaping a looking as if they were about to have a heart attack...However, since you think that it is your business what we do and don't do in this old house, but it is none of our business who you are, we will be placing a suggestion box in our dirt hole where you can feel free to put any more of your anonymous suggestions. Thank you so much for your concern.

Did I seriously do this!

Yes I have hit my all time most brainless moment as a scatterbrained mother of 4. Let me recap.

Yesterday morning I woke up late. 7:30 to be exact. I had all 4 kids, because Austin and Lex are off track, and Kielee had to be to school by 8:10. So I had 30 minutes to dress, feed, brush hair and get out the door for myself and 4 kids. Well on one hand, You could say I'm completely amazing because I made it. Kielee was on time for school, and eveyone was in tow ready to be dropped off at different babysitters (my babysitting woes is a whole other story) So I dropped Kielee off, and dropped Reese off, and drove all t he way out of my way, and dropped Austin and Lex off. I was on my way to work (about 1/2 later than normal, cause of all the dropping off) and I had an itch on my boob. I reached under my jacket, and under my thin tank top cause I had to get under the bra for this one, and lo and behold....
I WAS BRALESS!!!! Yes somehow in my morning rush, I forgot to put on a freakin bra!!!
And, yes I am part of the itty bitty titty commity, so what!

Anyway, I felt completely violated! Here I am sittin in my car, all alone, nobody knows I'm not wearing a bra, and I am so embarressed. So I pull over to the first place I see that sells bras. I go walking into Target, arms folded across my chest, head down, praying that no one is looking at my unconfined boobies! I go, pick out an inexpensive over the shoulder boulder...I mean pebble holder, and standing in line, I just KNOW everyone knows that I am braless, because why else would I just be buying a bra. It's like going to the store and JUST buying tampons, OBVIOUSLY Aunt flow is visiting.
THEN I go out to my car, drive to the far side of the parking lot where NO ONE is parked, and proceed to put it on. Then out of no where, with a MILLION other parking spaces, all of them closer to the actual store comes one of those "my car is too nice to park by anyone else" people, and parks RIGHT NEXT to me!! OMG! Can I just get a break. I think I pulled off the whole looking natural thing, when I suddenly pretended to be straitening my shirt,with the bra buckled around my stomach, looking like some freaky person waiting to do some kind of drug deal or something (I am so paranoid huh) Needless to say when said person finally got out of their car and walked away, I put that sucker on as fast as I could and got the hell out of there.

I guess the moral of the story is, I now have a new addition to my morning routine...check that I am wearing all nessecary undergarments!

Our New American Idol!!!

Congratulations Kris Allen!!!
I ♥ You

I know there is a ton of controversy over Kris winning last night. And I know there are a lot of disappointed Adam Lambert fans out there. But just let me tell you exactly why I am so happy with last nights results.

I LOVE KRIS, I'm a huge fan of boys who play the acoustic guitar and have that grungy voice and sing songs with awesome lyrics and messages (ie: Dashboard Confessional, Second Hand Serenade) It is no secret that this is my FAVORITE kind of music. And when Kris started showing his true abilities, I was in love.

I started out the season IN LOVE with Danny Gokey. I thought he had it in the bag every time I seen him, until they got down to about the top 5 or 6, then, he started to bore me. It was the same old Danny every time. Sure he is a great singer, and will probably go on to make a good album, but he just started to bore me.

I also have been a HUGE Adam fan the ENTIRE show. I think that Adam is definately one of the most, if not the most talented and conditioned performers to hit the Idol stage EVER. He is refined and at an entirely different level than ANYONE else in this year's compitition. This is why many people think he should have won the whole thing. And I'll tell you, if he won, I would have been fine with that too. I think he's absolutely amazing.

but let me tell you MY opinion to why I think America made the right decision last night...

Did you HEAR the song that was written to be the winning Idol's first single... That would be a disaster for Adam. I think Adam needs to have a little more freedom and his album needs to take a differnet direction than the Idol winner would be provided. I think Kris, is a good fit for what they do to the Idol winners. He fits the kind of music they like to fill Idol Winners first albums with. Adam on the other hand is one of a kind. He needs to be embraced and marketed as just that, the ONE AND ONLY Adam Lambert. His style, and vocal abilities can take him far, if they pair him with the RIGHT writers, and music style. But rushing him to the studio to put out an AMERICAN IDOL WINNER album right away I think will do him no justice.

Take David Cook for example, he was my favorite contestant last year. He is a great singer, musician, and song writer. I think, by listening to a lot of his album, that although I like it alright, so much of what I LOVED about him was lost in the main stream transition that IS Idol. David Cook put out his own album, before he ever went on Idol, and I heard the songs off of that album, and the writing, musically, and lyrically was perfet. (imho) I think his passion, when performing HIS OWN music, shows through so much more than when he sings the songs you know where hand picked, pre-written, by some one else (just look at last night's performance for example, no doubt he wrote that one). Although I do realize that he wrote/ or co-wrote ALMOST every song on the album, I think it's apparent that a lot of artistic control was lost when he won Idol. He went from being so original, and now MOST of his album is so much like every other "rocker" out there.

Adam on the other hand cannot be just lumped into the "Idol Rocker" category. He will go on to do bigger and better things as the Idol Runner up, than I think he could have done as the Idol winner. So there My friends, I have shared my piece. I hope I haven't offended any Adam fans, because I stress it again, I LOVE Adam!

So to both of the Idol Finalists....

Congratualtions! You were BOTH the right choice!!!

Writer's workshop just happened to coincide with something I was really thinking about doing today anyway. I think it's because I've had a couple bad mood days and that always makes it so much easier to come up with bitchy stuff to say. So Head over to Mama Kat's place for more Writer's Workshop's, and until then...

My List of Things that Must Go

1) Acting like you have NO IDEA what's going on when you really do, so that you can see if you can catch someone or something in a lie. Seriously, DUMB and obviously it doesn't work because I don't have anything to hide.

2) The Text dog out. I HATE when you TALK to someone, and they're all good to go, on-board with whatever plans your making, and then 20 minutes before said plans are supposed to happen, you get a TEXT MESSAGE with some dumb ass excuse. Come on now, be a big girl and just say NO!

3) The Text dog out, followed by the blame someone else. Again, grow some effing balls (or somethin) and don't blame everyone else, you already took the pussy way out by texting.

4) When people just can't get the method to my madness. I swear, what I do usually makes sense to me for some reason, and it may not be good to you, but it's perfectly logical to me, and that is what matters. As long as no one gets hurt, deal with it.

Ready, Set, Record...

Anyone who knows husbee and I know that we are series freaks. You see with 4 small children, sitting through a movie can sometimes be tough, and by the time we actually lay ourselves down in our cozy little bed at night it's usually too late to watch a movie. This my friends is why our cable bill is a fortune, and we ARE NOT NOT NOT willing to give that up. Because there's always time for a 1/2 hour - an hour episode of great TV. This is also why we stick with Comcast, because the on demand feature saves our butts if we ever forget to set our DVR (which I usually don't) Any-hoo, I thought I'd post a little bit about what's coming back that I'm CAN'T wait for, and what's new that I think I'm liking.

First off right now The Tudors is back on Showtime. I have to say (and if I'm wrong I'm sorry I'm about 3 episodes behind right now) that I don't think I like this season as much as the other 2. Hence the reason I'm probably 3 episodes behind, because the last 2 seasons I couldn't wait to watch it. The story isn't really that different, and I think that it's heading in an interesting direction, especially 2 wifes in 1 season, the prospect of war, and I really really like how Princess Mary's character is developing. Let me tell you what I think my problem is.

THE EYE CANDY!!!

The Tudors used to be FULL of Eye candy for both me and Husbee. Not to mention it's pretty damn racy, I think it showed more sex in the first 2 seasons than I'd ever seen in any other series. Now granted, there's still eye candy for Husbee, with Joss Stone Joining the cast, she's one of his favorite hotties anyway. The problem is MY eye candy got ALL JACKED UP this season. Granted I STILL have my Charles Brandon (Henery Cavill pictured above because he is now hottest boy on show!) and he is still yummy...but Jonathan Rhys Myers!!! What is UP with the stupid looking facial hair and slicked back hair, and your Pouty Ass Hole disposition is not so flattering. Your hotness from the last 2 seasons is dissipating with every episode I watch. Season 1 a little boyish, but hot Season 2 totally bad and SEXY Season 3 angry, and WTF?

You probably have to click to enlarge these, but this goes from Season 1 to season 3. I don't know if this is the REAL reason I'm not truely into this this year, but I do know I find myself so preocupied being upset with how not hot he is, to enjoy the show. I will be catching up on this in the next couple days, and I will be trying my hardest to put this little detail behind me while doing so. I guess we'll see if I change my mind.

First of all I have to say this gt me to look though all the pictures on my computer (at least my work computer). That was worth it in and of itself.

First Picture is my Anger entry. I Knew what picture I was using for this as I read the word. This is one of my favorite shots I've ever captured of Kielee. She's so beautiful, even when she's completely pissed off at me.

This Next Picture is Sorrow. This is Reese the day after she was born in the nursery. I had to leave her there for a week, and go home without her. I have to tell you I know that a lot of people go through so much more with their babies than I did, but as a mother seeing my baby with tubes and masks, and leaving her there for that dreadful week was the most heart breaking thing I have ever been through.

Not Me Monday

Today I will officially be joining the Not me! Monday crowd, courtesy of McMama over here at My Charming kids. McMama is an amazing mommy and I've been followingher blog for a while not. Her story, her sense of humor, and her wit keeps me always checking back for more.

This weekend I did not jump up and down as I watched nasty sewage FLOW (that being the key word here) out of a clogged pipe which required the demolition of half of my beautiful back yard to get to. Something so gross could not excite me!

I did not cringe just a little inside after they buried the pipe back up and I saw the mess left in my beautiful back yard.

I did not look at my babies all day on mothers day and think of how happy I am that I'm a mommy. I also did not miss Austin and Lex, and wish my whole family was together on MY day.

I did not do a little happy dance when I dropped my camera and saw it shatter on the floor. I would not do that! I do not like spending money on things that are mostly for my benefit.

I did not completely selfishly start a Tattoo Fund. I will not be taking all my spare change and extra money from my allowance and completely horde it to myself and stash it away for my tattoo that I have been wanting for years. I did not quit smoking and decide that I deserve a reward for that. I do not already have almost $40 in it :)

I did not spend my entire Mother's day cruising around visiting the mother's. Even though I'm a mother too I did not get home at 8:30 at night and I did not have to fix some dinner for my family. I did not think ahhhh mother's day! This is what being a mommy is REALLY about.

I did not give in and give Wheezer her binky because she was driving me insane. I did not take the fact that she had been without it for our entire trip to San Diego and throw it down the drain just to get her off my leg. I would NOT do that. That would be bad. And I definatley didn't look the other way when husbee did the same thing.

I did not gracefully dismiss myself from a late night conversation with Husbee and his Bromance because they were getting loud and I knew we would argue. I did not fake completely exhausted just to avoid becoming completely irritated. And I was not completely successful in my scam.

I did not steal my daughter's hair flower this morning and wear it in my hair because it matched the print on my skirt PERFECTLY...

I did not wear a skirt this morning for the sole reason that I've held out on Husbee for a bit due to hormonal bitchy tendencies, and I know he needs a little TLC. I do not plan in using the fact that I am easily accessible to seduce him when he gets home. And I do not think that I look extra hot today, to also aid me in my seduction.

I did not make THE BEST grilled cheese, and I did not smile like a school girl when my husband bragged about it to everyone this weekend. I am not completely tickled that I put together my second self made up recipe and it was a success, and I am not proud that my cooking is taking a new direction.

I did not use the trip to the store to pick up gifts for my mother's as a secret excuse to get some stuff for myself. I am not really excited about my new knifes, baking ware, and waffle maker. And I did not get the waffle maker just because I knew 1 of my kids would love it. I did not say I really wanted one, and I did not fail to mention that I don't even like waffles...

I hope you enjoyed my first week ever of "Not me Monday" the others I read always make me laugh, mostly cause i can relate so I decided to try. It really is like therapy!

Ok so I know that I don't post enough. And one of the main reasons is I don't take pictures of everything I should. I think if I took more pictures, I'd surely have a lot more to blog about, and pictures make the stuff about my kids at least cuter :) If not more interesting for people to read. Well one of the main reasons I don't take a lot of pictures is that I HATE HATE HATE my camera. It's like ancient, and lame and I just don't like it. Well I have good news! I accidently dropped my camera on Saturday and I BROKE it. YAY! It truely was an accident, after I took all the pictures of the excavainig going down in my back yard when I walked in my cute little kitty Meow, jumped right out in front of me and scared the holy living crap out of me. I don't think I've introduced my blog to My MEOW...She's totally scary right? Well for some reason I jumped, and dropped it REALLY hard, and I saw little springs and stuff go flying, and I don't think I found them all, but NOW it won't hold batteries, and the lens won't move so I GET A NEW ONE!!! Finally!!! at least now I have a good reason!

Too Gross to post! But I did it anyway cause you should all feel my pain!

Yes I know it's DISGUSTING! This is my basement floor drains as of last night. We've bee having major pluming problems in our 1950's house. So bad that New Years eve when it flooded (SEWAGE) into our basement we had to tear out EVERYTHING drywall, carpet, tile, our finished basement became unfinished in a day. We though it was fixed but about a month it started backing up again. This is the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced! We have literally had POO, and TOILET PAPER, and you know anything else that goes down THERE coming out of our basement floors. after calling my dad basically in tears we are now officially POO FREE!!! This is what we did this Saturday! My WONDERFUL father came and Dug a HUGE hole in my yard to dig the clog out. It took about 15 hours to dig down 7 feet re-pipe and bury it back. Now we get to wait 3 or 4 months for the ground to settle before we can plant our grass back. All I can say is thank god I can bathe my kids all in the same night! I can do laundry and dishes at the same time! I can go # 2 and not worry about having to see it the next day when I go to go do laundry ( I know it's TMI but seriously, nasty stuff) I am really happy about this! Now on to refinishing our basement...sigh it never ends does it :)

Do I want a baby?

The year is 1999, I'm 18 years old and graduated high school. I'm dating my second serious boyfriend and the answer to the question....NO WAY. I don't ever want kids I would ever so wisely preach to anyone who would ask. "I am the oldest of Like a million kids I know better than to want my own!" I thought I was so smart!

The year is 2001, I moved in with serious BF in lieu of marriage, because I'm so smart! And within a couple months of moving in, I'm pregnant with baby # 1. The answer now...I only want 1 baby. I may not have planned it, but this little buggey growing inside me I loved since the minute I found out about her and I'm so smart, I'm a grown up, I will be excellent at this! I become mommy, of my one and only, but I am still the girl who never wanted kids, I can't deal with anyone else's kids. I'm the one NONE of my friends ever ask to baby sit. But MY baby I could handle!

The year is 2005, Poo-key is 3. She is the most wonderful thing in the world but I am just figuring out what it really means to be a mother. Serious BF is now seriously GONE, and I am seriously by myself with my poo koo ca choo! The answer, I would have gotten my tubes tied when I had poo-key, in fact I asked, but they would not do it. I needed to be 25 years old or have 3 kids before I was 25 for them to even discuss permanant contraception with me. Ok that's fine, I'm so smart! I will be THE BEST mother of my only child ever, and I'm definately smart enough to not have more babies!

Enter My Casenova, My Mr. Wonderful, My Prince Charming who had me from the moment...hell, the guy just has me. Still does, I got it bad for this one.! And GUESS WHAT he comes with 2 KIDS! I can't even tell you the extreme sense of concern coming from everyone around me. I can't tell you how many times I heard...with a hesitent voice like they didn't even want to ask..."AND what do you think about the kids" Or "but you don't want any more kids" I can't even describe in writing the sound of OH GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING! I don't know what it was but the little suckers won me over right away. For the first time ever I actually LIKED these kids that weren't mine. , The answer now...No more BABIES still. We are in fact just dating and I am so smart I know better than that!.

And Valentine's Day, and Hot Tubs and Bottles of Champaygne, and that makes..., the year is only 2006 and guess what I'm having a Bouncing little bundle of Joy! Yeah that's right Me! Little Miss No more Babies, Little miss I'm so smart! Yeah ok, so I wasn't so smart. Infact that was very careless oops. The answer now, I guess everything happens for a reason so sure, what's one more. We'll work it out.

Now it's 2009, I'm a Full time mommy of 4. Short Hills is hell on wheels, but I wouldn't trade her for anything EVER. Now being a mother and a wife is the greatest joy I have. The joy of being able to take off whenever I want and do whatever I want, and having frineds all over the place, has been replaced with the joy of having a few close friends, and cooking great meals. I love my children, and I don't know what I would have done or how my life would be without each and every one of them. Do I want a baby now...well no, and I actually have managed to get that part taken care of. But looking back I cannot believe that I was so convinced that I didn't want kids. In fact, I believe that I NEEDED my kids. I now NEED to be a mother. It has become such a deep and profound part of who I am and what I am proud of. I have learned that i wasn't, and I'm still not so smart. I always have room to learn and grow, and sometimes you don't know what will bring you the greatest joy.

Back to Reality...

Well , I'm BACK today from our lovely weekend vacate to Mission Beach. While in San Diego, although I had a lot of fun, and much needed relaxation time with Hubby, I missed the kids so bad. So bad in fact that a VERY LARGE portion of our relaxing was spent walking on the sand searching for sea shells to bring home to our little ones cause we knew they'd love them. See this is us looking for shells :)

So I spend my vacation remembering that even though I LOVE the beach, and I don't think that will ever change....see I mean HELLO how can you not love this, anyway, I really love home. And so I was happy to come home to my babies, and then I got here. Granted, i'm happy to see the chitlens, and they're happy to see us, but talk about back to reality!!! I go from this -------->

and now, the truck, needed breaks, well we go to change them, and it needs a Rotor (look baby I spelled it right) the ROTOR is nowhere to be found. can't put it back together. Now Shane had to take me, and Austin and Lex (because they're off track so we have them staying with us until Saturday) they all had to get in the car and drive me to work this morning. Then wonderful hubby had to go home with kids in tow, and find the part. And I get to go to work after being gone for 5 days and now this is pretty much where I'm at! Although it's nice to know I'm needed, its definately a harsh return.

So alas, I am back, back to the daily grind, back to responsibility, back to house work, and home work, and work work...but hey...it's only 2 more days til Friday!!!

So now, on with the show.

Yes that's right I have taken on QUITTING SMOKING Finally! Hey now, I'm only on day 2 with the patch, so I can't say I have actually quit, but I feel really good about it this time. So Why did I do it? Well for the first time ever I can say I DID NOT do it for anyone else. That's a big plus. Every other time I tried to quit because Kielee's dad said I "had" to, it didn't work, cause...well I suppose because I hate being told what to do lol, so then I just became all pro at hiding it. Not good.

so why did I do it?

Well for the first time since I started smoking, I really WANT to quit. I'm done. Actually I've been done for a quite awhile, but scared to take the challenge. I hear so much about how hard it is...and I've smoked for a really long time, so yeah I was scared. And then the big News hits on April 1st cigarette taxes are going up, and that means they will now be $7 a pack! EXCUSE ME!

So there's the REAL trigger for the entire thing. That's A LOT of money.

Yesterday though I discovered something that I think is really going to help me. It really means a lot to my kids that we don't smoke. They were all so excited when they found out I was going to try. I know they've made comments about it forever, but I always just brushed it off as them repeating things they've heard in school, or on the tv, or radio commercials. But I realized that they really do want us to be healthy, and freaking ALIVE for many years to come. And they know smoking isn't good for you, and it does matter to them. So now there is a someone else involved, although it's not FOR them, it is really good to have that weighing on me. They are one of the most special things in my life, and being a good mother is very important to me as well (also something I have been thinking a lot about lately, but that's a whole nother post) Anyway, I want to make my kids proud. I want to be an good example, I can't tell them to NOT do something because it's bad for you while I sit there and puff away myself. I mean I CAN but seriously, how serious are they going to take me at that point. I think this is really a good realization for me, to help me keep my goal. That and if Kielee keeps it up, she might guilt me into it anyway. The first thing she said this morning when she woke up was "MOM...did you smoke?" I'm like dang girl, I went to bed and woke up, no I have not smoked lol...but thank you for your support, in your round about little Pookie way.

Kielee is such a a goof

So I was looking through my pictures and I ran across this one. It's a little old, but I felt like I had to post it cause it made me laugh. This is My Kielee Panty head (Come on they're clean, hell some of them are probably brand new cause that's how we roll at my house! With 3 girls, and 2 so close in age, things get buried sometimes). Kielee is such a strange little soul, but she's defiantly a lot of fun and full of personality. See Reese had a tendency to find the big girl panties, and for some reason she thinks they look like hats. So Kielee, being the little attention seeker that she is, when we laugh at Reese about something she automatically goes into "Well I can be funny too!" mode. On this particular day, she went above and beyond and even looking back at this picture, I remember she had me laughing so hard I had tears running down my cheeks. And the big ol' ham that she is, i got some good pics. She's still beautiful, no matter how goofy she tries to look.

Over at Mama Kat's blog I found that she does a weekly writers workshop. Since I am trying to be better about blogging, but have a hard time getting my creative juices flowing sometimes, I decided that I am going to commit to do at least this every week. My chosen topic this week...Your friend tells you he can pick up any girl at the bar, no matter what he says. You bet him $100 he can't. Create the world's worst pick up line and send your friend off into the crowd. What happens?

This my friends is hilarious! Because this truly happened not too long ago. You see we have these friends named Kerrie and Mike, and they have this really love hate relationship. Sometimes they just need a break from each other, and this little story happened during one of their infamous 1-2 week break ups.

A bunch of us decided to go to dinner together, as couples, it was Us, Brandie and OD, Sean and Angie, Nick and Kristine, and Mike...because he was at this very moment in time, staying with Brandie and OD, so he got to tag along. Mike is a very social guy and I swear he has NO SHAME. He will do or say anything, and he'll do it for $1, not $100. Hahaha. So we're having dinner and out comes the challenge. Mike's challenge of the night is to go up to as many girls as it takes and use the following pick-up line, and he has to keep doing it until he gives up, or gets a phone number. If he actually got a phone number, I really do think the bet was for a pack of cigs or something. The pick up line, which I think would definitely be classified as the worst EVER was this

"Hi, I'm Mike, I'm 34, I have no job and I'm living in my friends spare room, do you think you'd want to go out sometime?"

So we have this really cute little waitress, who you can just tell is really shy. He decides to make her his first target, I guess we should have set some ground rules cause after he completely humiliated her, she avoided our table as much as she could the rest of the night which really made it hard to keep my alcohol flowing to maintain my happy little buzz I had after that first Margarita. I &hearts Presidente Margaritas! I finally got another one though, and the greatest thing about them is that they are good for about 3 drinks in 1. Thank goodness. So as the buzzes got bigger Mike started getting more and more diligent about getting a phone number, or embarrassing everyone at the table I can't decide which. But he started offering up all of us. Like Come on! My friends Jaime and Shane over there just asked me to find someone for them to take home tonight...Or Brandie and OD really want me to find someone to help me pay the rent I owe them. It was hilarious and none of us could stop laughing, but believe me, we did walk out of there with one very good lesson learned. Do not bet Mike anything that could be potentially embarrassing. Cause if the bet is that he has to get a phone number, he will do anything to get that phone number! Plus, as with anything I've ever seen when everyone thinks we'll all get a good laugh at Mike's expense, it usually backfires.

The other thing we learned is that we probably don't ever want to put him and Jessica in a public situation together... although that could really make for some great laughs.

Um no, I don't think so, I'll stick to my Bud Light :)

Abortion, for or against?
I am Pro- Choice, however for me personally, I wouldn't...or should I say couldn't. That being said, do think there should be some kind of mandatory guideline, like if you have a abortion every because you are being just plain irresponsible, they should tie your tubes or something.

Would the country fall if there was a woman president?
Nope.

Do you believe in the death penalty?
YES! I think that if a full grown adult takes it upon him/herself to do horrible things, by all means a jury of full grown adults should be allowed to determine that they are unfit to live in this world.

Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
Personally, to me it doesn't matter at all, but I really see no harm in it.

Do you believe in God?
I believe in SOMETHING...I'll get back to you when I figure out exactly what that is. I am on an intense search as we speak into my spirituality. I think my problem is that the whole organized religion thing that you just have to "have faith" doesn't work for me AT ALL. I have questions, and if you want me to do what YOU say...I want answers damn it!

Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
Absolutely!!! Who is ANYONE to out conditions on love. If you want to share your life and commit to another human being, by all means you should have the right to make that commitment.

Do you think it's wrong so many Hispanics are moving to the USA?
I don't think it's wrong for anyone to move here just do it the right and legal way, and follow the same rules as the rest of us.

A 12 year old girl has a baby...should she keep it?
No, there are so many people out there who can't have babies, and are desperately waiting for the right little one to be a part of their family. Given the unfortunate circumstance that a 12 year old did end up pregnant, I would say she should absolutely go with adoption.

Should the alcohol drinking age be lowered to 18?
I don't think 18 is really much different that 21.

Should the war in Iraq be called off?
I think we should all stop killing each other if that's what you mean.

Assisted suicide is legal...do you agree?
On a case by case basis...yes.

Do you believe in spanking your children?
My kids get a little swat once in awhile, yes...but generally I don't really like hitting so they could probably count on one hand how many spankings they've actually had.

Would you burn the American flag for a million dollars?
For a million dollars, yeah probably

A mother is declared innocent after murdering her 5 children in a temporary insanity case...what do you think?
I think it's a tough call. I think I would hate to be responsible for making that decision. I think that you could tell me any story you could possibly come up with and show me concrete medical evidence that she was insane and as a mother, I STILL couldn't fathom how someone could do that

St. Patrick's Day Hair

I don't know who all knows this about me. But I obsessively lurk on all those Hair blogger's sites :) One of my favorites is Mindy's Blog "Adopt a Do" Mindy has a really fun blog where she does AWESOME girly hairstyles, and also throws in a little bit about adoption here and there. Right now she's having a contest and of course I wanted to enter, but it also gives me the perfect reason to share some of her cute hairstyles with you. She has a section on her blog right now for St. Patrick's Day hair, and Since I am totally Irish, and have 3 girls of my own I LOVE THESE!!! They are all totally original and totally adorable, and she gives such good walk throughs that I think anyone could accomplish them :) How awesome will it be to send your little girl to school on St Patty's day with such a cool hair-do . She'll be a proud little girl for sure that her mommy is sooooo creative :) Honestly the hairblogs are really probably my FAVORITE blogging discovery, those creative mothers like Mindy have had my daughters rockin some cool hairdo's!! Happy Heart Day

We had a really great V-Day this year. Really Really fun. We decided to have kind of a "formal" dinner party with us, Nick and Christine and Lance and Lisa. I cooked a special Valentine's Dinner, that I wish I would have taken pictures of, cause not only was it SOOOO good, it was beautiful looking. I cooked Bacon wrapped beef tenderloin steaks, Spinich and cheese cakes, an Arugula Lemon salad (so yummy) and stuffed Lobster tail. then for desert we had chocolate Fondue, with strawberries. I was so proud of myself after tasting everything how perfect it all turned out. I really need a bigger kitchen, I wish my kids would not be so picky so I could cook like that on a regular basis. I also have been dying to try one of those Murder Mystery kits that you do at home, but was a little leary to just buy one, so after much searching, I actually found 1 online, only 1, but I decided this would be our activity at dinner. For any of you who are interested in trying one of these dinner's the link to this guys website is http://www.whodunitmysteries.com/ I would HIGHLY reccomned trying this one. It's completely free, and very very well written. The instructions are easy to follow, and game play runs pretty smoothly. After that night we will surely be purchasing some of the kits available and doing these a couple times a year with more than just 6 people. It's a great excuse for a get together, and anyone that knows me knows that I'm a sucker for a theme :) Anyway, overall we it was a pretty cool Valentine's day. Like I said I wish I would have taken some pictures, but I was too busy lol. So to everyone else, I hope your Valentines day was great.

Ok So my Sister Jess tagged me, I have to post my 4th picture from my 4th file and then tag 4 friends. So here it is... This is Kielee's first day of school Kindergarten. Not really too much to explain here lol. I tag...whoever wants to I guess, I don't have very many people on here :)

The Masterpeice

The kids have been dying to get out the paint that Sunney and my Dad got Reese for her birthday, and today I finally was in the mood to give the go ahead. Kielee started off by herself, but was soon joined by Reese who has never painted before. I was so cute to watch them be creative, and so excited by their creations. Reese cracks me up, she takes her art so serious, she has the same expression of utter concen- tration every time she colors or draws. She's so completely immersed in her project whenever she is creating. Kielee on the other hand is completely posing every time the camera comes out, even when I tried to get her "looking Natural" She is well aware of the camera being on her at all times.. Anyway, I really enjoyed watching them. Here are the pictures of the finished products. They were of course completely covered in paint, in fact Reese started painting her arms after awhile and forgot all about the paper. Into the tub they went, and I think I'm going to be done with the paint for a little bit.

Reese's 2nd Birthday!!

Well Reese turned 2 on Saturday and we had her a little birthday party. She was so cute! She is completely in love with Wow, Wow Wubsy, the Backyardagains, and Yo Gabba Gabba, and so she got a lot of toys that were from those shows. Almost every present she got caused her to burst into song. She was so excited. She also loved when everyone sang her the birthday song, and was all about eating her cupcakes, which she would only eat the tops of, then she wanted another one. We didn't get too many pictures, because as soon as she started opening her gifts, I had to take Shane off picture duty so he could pull out the video camera cause she was TOO CUTE. Papa and Sunny, Shania, Skylar and Cody got her a little drawing desk with tons of paper, crayons , markers and paint, and she has been playing with it non stop. She also got a new baby with a bottle, which she now has to sleep with, and watch TV with everytime. She got a new colectable bear from Grandma and Papa Gailey, which is so cute, cause it's making PB&J sandwiches , and it's just so Reese. She got a Backyardagains guitar from Aunt Jess and Fam, and she's been walking around with it singing the backyardagains song over and over. She also got Wow Wow Wubsy movie from the Jensen's, and that is Great, cause now she can watch Wubsey whenever she wants. Then perfect timing she got her first ever peice of Mail, a cute card from Grandma and Grandpa great...I don't know how they keep everyone's birthdays straight, but they do an awesome job! We just want to thank everyone for all the great stuff and making her day so special.

I Heart Halloween!!!

Well Halloween was a big success! I got off at 12:20 and went and got miss Kielee, then we went straight out to pick up Austin and Lex. Austin was really bummed when I picked him up, and it turns out it was just because he REALLY wanted to be Chucky (as in Child's Play, which no he's never even seen!) and because of Shane's broken car and stuff that happened last week we had told him we couldn't really afford to go out and buy him the $50 costume, espicially since he already had one. Well I felt really bad, and made a deal with him. I said Bud, if you are ok with me trying to put something together with what you already have at the house, I will do your makeup and make you Chucky! He was thrilled!! I started doing their makeup at 3:00, with the plan to make a 6:00 Trunk or treat...Yeah, 4 kids is ALOT to get ready!!! So we didn't make the trunk or treat but they all looked really cute. Austin was Chucky, Lex was a really cute Vampire, and Reese was a Pink Dinosaur, and yes this was the best picture I could get of the little turd! She will not hold still! After getting them all ready, we went out to my dad's for some trick or treating with Shania and Skylar, Brenna and Sam.

After about and hour and a hlaf, we headed back to my house for MORE trick or treating, this time Jess, Brenna, and Skylar came with us, and Lisa, Mayson and Tatum. They had a blast and we were out intil 9:00, when it started to rain on us. I really didn't think the kids were going to make it that long, but it was such a beautiful night, that they just didn't want to go home. All and all Halloween turned out great.

Kielee's Halloween Costume!

Well we got up at 6 am this morning and for once in her life Kielee was actually rarin' to go! She IS NOT a morning person, just like her mommy, but she was soooo excited to get those rollers out of her hair and get ready for her school Halloween party. I got Reese ready while Kielee ate breakfast, and then started to work on Kielee. It took me right until it was time to go to finish her makeup and hair and snap a couple pictures. I had to come to work today in my yoga pants and a sweatshirt with my hair in a pony cause I had NO TIME to take care of myself! But it was well worth it... Kielee looks so adorable, she makes a great little Geisha she even has the praying mantis pose down lol.
I get off work today at 12:20 so I can pick Kielee up from school, and then we'll be off to get Austin and Lex, so we can bring them home and get them all done up for their first Halloween with us. Stay tuned for what I'm sure will be many more pictures and stories from tonight!

Pumpkins!!!

We Carved Pumpkins Tuesday night the WHOLE lot of us. It was all of us plus Jess, Lou, Sam and Lisa Tatum and Mason. 12 Pumpkins all together!!! The kids lost interest pretty quick, but they were really excited to see the finished product. Here's how they look!! Reese's is the Ghost, Mine is the headless horseman, Shane's is the good ol fashioned Jack o lantern, Lex's is the funny face, Austin's is the Skull, and Kielee's is a graveyard scene.

My First Blog Post!

Ok All, well here it is, I officially have a blog. I have been keeping up on my sister's for quite some time and it's just so cute, I couldn't resist. Especially since Shane and I have so much going on all the time, it's really hard for me to keep in touch with everyone as much as I'd like, maybe I can maintain this. We are Jaime and Shane Gailey. Shane and I met in High School and after a marriage and a few kids later, we hooked up in 2005 thanks to his sister and a good mutual friend. Although we weren't planning in it ending up this way,We blended our family in 2006, and made it official when we got married July 19, 2008. All together we have 4 great kids. Austin ~ 8, Kielee ~ 6, Alexia ~5, and little Reese ~ 2 (on Saturday) Our lives can be a little hectic at times, but now, as a mother, and step mother, I feel so lucky to have been brought up in a blended family. And have learned that it really is a feat to bring two people from different backgrounds and lifestyles together into one home, then you throw kids into the mix and you've got yourself a handful! You blend, you mix, you shake you stir, and if you're as lucky as us, and with some attention and work, you just may end up with...Just the right mix! I look forward to sharing our crazy journey with you all. Hopeffully I can keep it up!
